Freeman's thoughts on slavery and what it means to "be a slave"
In this amateur interview with Freeman, he outlines his exact thoughts on what it means to be a slave, and the "slave mentality" that causes people to accept being put into the role of a slave. Freeman obviously is outspoken about his views on race and slavery, but for some reason people cannot stop patronizing him, calling him names like "Uncle Tom" and "Reverend Freeman." It has become apparent that to be black and have your own views about race and slavery is an unwanted trait within the black community. It seems that blacks would rather hide people who are outspoken against increasing knowledge about black history and the injustices against the black race because they feel it will help their cause out more in the long run. I ask, But what if Morgan Freeman has the right idea about race issues and slavery? What then?
